When purchasing cosmetics, they mostly use specialty stores or the online shops, and their cosmetics purchase cycle is the shortest. Among the three groups, the ‘Independent’ types were found to have the highest motivation for purchasing cosmetics because of factors such as external change and sales promotion, and tended to rely more on their own experiences of purchasing and using the products as sources of information. On the other hand, these subjects also had a penchant for impulsively purchasing products they do not immediately need. SPSS 20.0 was the statistics suite used, with which frequency analysis, cross analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis(Cronbach’s Alpha), cluster analysis(K-Means Cluster), and ANOVA were conducted.
